Sustaining the Generational Gains; Hon. Youngblood Opens Modern Technical Training Institute

lvi 9CDC District #: 9, Montserrado County lawmaker (Hon. Pelham-Youngblood) aka Talk and Do over the weekend dedicated/opened the Liberia Vocational Institute (LVI) in the Barnes Foundation Compound. The youthful and loudest female voice in the 53rd National Legislature who is the Founder and CEO of the institute (LVI) encourages students, most especially the young people to take the opportunity seriously as she’s not in the business of giving fish but rather teach people how to fishing for themselves.

Speaking at the opening ceremony is the Director for Technical and Vocational Education (MOE). He sternly cautions students and residents of the district not to jumble politics to issues that will make them useful in society.

The six months program is a totally a free training initiative in different disciplines; ranging from Pastry, Computer, Tailoring, Cosmetology (Braiding, Styling, weaving & relaxing, Medicure, Pedicure & Facial (eyelashes fixing/addressing) etc.


Hon Youngblood in her special remarks rained praises to Mr & Mrs. Farhai for leasing the building to her for 20yrs. “This is not CDF/SDF nor special legislative project, but rather my hard earned money and the only thing government (MOE) is offering is the trained and qualified Instructors”. The youthful lawmaker ended.
